Alpha Flight land on an alien planet and try to escape, but living crystals prevent their departure. Goblyn is able to save the team, and the crystal beings, and allow them to escape, garnering the respect of Alpha Flight. However, they realize that Laura Dean hasn't returned when the sense of danger has been over and wonder what happened to her.
